I have a video covering my impressions of the Aquarius+ available here:

Aquarius+ is a difficult name to search, because “+” means something to many search engines, and also because there is some medical equipment by the same name. Sometimes searching for “Aquarius Plus” might find you need. But here is a main reference page to all-things about this retro-style computer called the Aquarius+:

PCB diagram (here) of the model of Aquarius+ that I have.

On cassette cartridge support:
The Cassette Out (right side rear connector) goes to the MIC IN. The Cassette In (right side middle connector in the ground of three) goes to the AUX port of a standard cassette recorder.
From BASIC, CSAVE “FILE.BAS” to save to the cassette, then (after rewinding the tape) CLOAD to load back the saved content.
NOTE: I had an issue where on load/restore, an errant line “29811” contained “ATTRATTRATTR.” This may have been due to earlier volume testing. On that, a volume setting between 7-8 should be sufficient (but avoid using max or going too low on the volume).
Aquarius Gamepad/Joystick:
The 9-pin serial-port looking pins at the front of the Aquarius+ are not for Atari-style game controllers. They are for a pair of controllers that came with an Aquarius expansion module called the “Mini Expander.” They look like this:
