EXPLORING INSIDE
With the case cover removed, inside is revealed the bottom of the “A1 board” (motherboard), video display circuits, the spot where the internal tape drive would go, and the power supply unit at the rear (which also houses the external I/O parts). To access the “CPU” (PALM) and expansion slots, the entire PSU and mainboard must be “flipped over” on hinges. These go a full 180 degrees, so a lot of desk space is needed to do this safely (i.e. without the main case itself sliding or tilting in an abrupt way).
